Vernon CalderaVernon Caldera is a designer, artist and writer based in Houston, TX. He was a finalist in Apartment Therapy's 2009 and 2010 Small Cool Places Contest. In December 2010, his article, "The Most Beautiful Room I Ever Saw," was featured in Lonny Magazine.

In 2008, Mr. Caldera founded the online video gallery, Keep Houston Rich. The site was the first of its kind to curate videos celebrating the city's diversity.

Through his design firm, Left Brain Right Brain Design, Mr. Caldera works on projects ranging from interior to print to web design as well as branding. He is an avid gardener and runner having completed his frist marathon in 2009 in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He is on the Advisory Board of Scenic Houston and is one of the founders of Lawndale Art Center's Design Fair.

Inspired by his native Nicaragua, he began making terrariums for friends.
